Guide for Haitians in Immigration Detention

Families for Freedom has been working with many of our Haitian members to fight their deportations.  This guide is very helpful for Haitian nationals fighting to remain in the United States, in the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake.

In January 2011, the Human Rights and Immigration Clinics began a collaborative effort to halt deportations to Haiti in view of the ongoing effects of the January 2010 earthquake, the cholera epidemic, and political unrest. This project has involved international human rights advocacy before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, domestic policy advocacy, and individual case representation.
