Families for Freedom is joining forces with Brevoort Houses to raise awareness for Michael Santiago's Freedom Campaign by holding a tabling event at their annual “Diggs Day” basketball game. Michael had an immense amount of respect for Diggs, who was not only a beloved figure to the community, but was also a mentor to him. Michael expressed his deep admiration for Diggs and the profound influence he had on his life.
Diggs lived in Brevoort House Projects for more than 50 years, and was dedicated to empower, mentor, and support all those who came across. His dedication and involvement in Brevoort Houses made him an honorable, and respected member of his community.
Join us on August 26 (Saturday) from 1-5pm at Brevoort Houses (254 Ralph Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11233) to watch the Diggs Day basketball game and stand in solidarity with Michael Santiago and community members.
