Exonerate Wayne Gardine Rally

  • One Hogan Place 1 Hogan Place New York, NY, 10013 United States (map)

📅 Save the date!

Wayne Gardine moved to the United States from Jamaica with his mother when he was 13 years old. He entered the country with a visa and lived here for most of his life.  At the age of 17, Gardine was arrested and charged for brutal crimes that he didn't commit. He was at a party the night that a murder took place and was wrongfully charged with the murder. Wayne wasn't granted a fair trial because there were multiple witnesses at the party who confirmed his presence but their statements weren't used in court. Because of this, he spent 28 years in prison where he maintained his innocence.

Mr. Gardine was finally released from prison in April 2022. However, because he isn't a United States citizen, Gardine was immediately placed into ICE custody at Buffalo Federal Detention Center and became trapped into the country's cruel and inhumane immigration system.

Join us in front of District Attorney Alvin Bragg's main office at 1 Hogan Place on March 7(Tue) at 11am to demand he overturn Wayne Gardine's wrongful conviction.
