Families for Freedom is saddened to announce the passing of Rodney “Dakem” Roberts, who died on July 31, 2025, at St. Barnabas Hospital. He was 64 years old and dedicated to campaigning for political and social change.

Rodney, aka Dakem, was a long-time member of FFF and the husband of Julia Roberts, another devoted member of FFF. He was a pillar in the community, fighting against injustices within the broken criminal justice and immigration systems. He was truly a warrior for justice.
